Deous Mary Ekyaligonza is member of the working group of Transdisciplinary Systems Research at BOKU Vienna (Austria) and also a lecturer at Mountains of the Moon University in Fort Portal, Uganda. She is a specialist on “Organic Matter Management and Cropping Systems for Soil Fertility Improvement in the Rwenzori Region, Uganda” with a strong focus on agroforestry. Her understanding of local farming systems and her research interest, which merges aspects of forestry and agriculture, means she offers unique insight and local context to the proposed workshops.
